Focus and Scope
Sudurpaschim Spectrum is a Bi-annual, Multidisciplinary, Peer Reviewed, Open Access Journal published by Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Far Western University, Nepal. It publishes scholarly articles in a wide range of areas and disciplines in humanities and social sciences which provides a space for scholars and researchers to contribute to the collective knowledge in diverse fields within humanities and social sciences. The journal serves as a bridge connecting academia, fostering intellectual exchange and collaboration.
The scope of the journal encompasses a wide array of topics within humanities and social sciences, reflecting the diversity and richness of these disciplines. From philosophy and literature to sociology and economics, Sudurpaschim Spectrum provides a comprehensive platform for research practitioners and scholars to explore, analyze, and present their contributions to the academic landscape.
Publication Frequency
Sudurpaschim Spectrum publishes two issues a year.
Open Access Policy
Sudurpaschim Spectrum provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.
The articles in Sudurpaschim Spectrum are published under a CC BY-NC Attribution NonCommercial 4.0 International licence. This license enables reusers to distribute, remix, adapt, and build upon the material in any medium or format for noncommercial purposes only, and only so long as attribution is given to the creator.
Peer Review Policy
Sudurpaschim Spectrum is a multidisciplinary, double blind, peer reviewed, open access journal. Editorial Board comprehensively discuss the submitted articles regarding their basic formatting adopted by the journal. Papers not meeting basic requirements are returned to authors to redesign the paper. Articles which meet the basic requirement subjected to reviewers (experts of the field) keeping authors and reviewers anonymous. To ensure the quality and relevancy of the article, each paper article is reviewed through two reviewers. Double blindness is ensured by hiding the identity and affiliation of the author and requesting the concerning reviewer to review by track change. This ensures the impartiality and fairness of the article review process. The review process takes almost 1.5 to 2 months as per need basis. Editorial Board of the journal has the final right to accept or reject the article for publication based on reviewers' comments/feedback.
