About the Journal
Focus and Scope
The Prashasan Journal is regular publication of Ministry of Federal Affairs and General Administration. This journal has been publishing since 1968. It is also available on its own website here.
The objectives of this journal are to publish research based, empirical, academic and conceptual original articles about public administration, public policy, governance, governance reform and public service delivery and to provide forum for discourse among professional experts, practitioners, academicians and researchers.
The concepts and practices of public administration are constantly changing. The beliefs and practices of the regime are found to be changing over time. The discourse among the professionals and academicians about the contemporary practices in the various area of governance is well expected. This journal aims to introduce such ideas and concepts in the field of governance and administration.
The focus of the journal is to publish research-based and academic articles of the area of public administration and its related area written by academicians and professional experts. The scope of this journal is:

Publication Frequency
Prashasan publishes two issues a year.
Guidelines to Peer-Reviewers
The following are the general guidelines to Peer Reviewer:
- The peer reviewer should consider the following points during peer review:
- The recommended format of article (Heading, Keywords, Background, Analysis, Conclusion and Reference)
- Priority field of journal
- Proper citation and reference
- Presentation style of subject matter
- Grammatical accuracy
- Accuracy of Content
- Analysis and relevancy of subject matter
- The peer reviewer should forward the comments and feedback regarding the article to the editorial board. The editorial board forward such comments and feedback to the respective authors for necessary actions if necessary.
- To address the comments and feedback received from peer reviewer via editor is mandatory for the author.
- The identity of author is kept confidential
Open Access Policy
Prashasan provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.

Price: The hard copy is available free of cost.
Availability: Available at Ministry of Federal Affairs and General Administration, Singhadurbar, Kathmandu, Nepal.
The hard copy of the journal is sent to the major national libraries of Nepal.
