About the Journal
Aims and Scope
Nepalese Journal of Cancer (NJC) is an official journal of B P Koirala Memorial Cancer Hospital. The journal is internationally peer reviewed, covering and intends to cover biomedical topics relating to cancer care and research in the Nepal and in Region. Journal is published in 4 monthly issue and publishes articles in the following category: Original Article, Review Article, Case Report, Viewpoint and Letter to the Editor and others relevant issues. The aim of NJC is to increase the visibility and ease of use of open access scientific and scholarly articles thereby promoting their increased usage and impact. Hence, NJC grants the permission to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of these articles which is available online at (http://www.bpkmch.org.np). The submission, processing or publication of articles at NJC are free of cost.
The journal publishes articles in Clinical care and research relating to cancer care. The journal non the less will publish all relevant development in radiology, pathology, molecular science, genetics and medical technology relevant to cancer care. The journal gives preference to good quality research papers with new findings. This serves to Medical community and cancer care community in particular.
Peer-Review Process
The manuscripts will be reviewed for possible publication with the understanding that they are being submitted to NJC and have not been published, simultaneously submitted, or already accepted for publication elsewhere. The Editors review all submitted manuscripts initially. Manuscripts with insufficient originality, serious scientific and technical flaws, or lack of a significant message are rejected or if good article are written poorly then authors are requested to re-submit after the revision according to NJC format. Manuscripts are blindly reviewed. Manuscripts are then re-reviewed by the NJC editor based on the comments and a final decision is taken. The contributors will be informed about the reviewers' comments and acceptance/rejection of manuscript.
Articles accepted will be copy edited for grammar, punctuation, print style, and format. Page proofs will be sent to the corresponding author, and they must to be returned within three days. Non response to proof copies may delay the publication of the same article or it may even be rejected.
Publication Fees
The submission, processing or publication of articles at Nepalese Journal of Cancer are free of cost.
Publication Frequency
NJC has published one issue each in 2017 and 2018 but hopes to increase the frequency to three issues a year as the journal becomes established.
