The Journal of Engineering, Technology and Planning (JOETP) advances critical understanding of the diverse aspects of Engineering, Technology and Planning specifically pertinent to the context of developing countries including Nepal. The Journal publishes theoretical, conceptual and empirical research that explores technological, social, environmental and planning aspects of the Engineering field. It aims to encourage critical views, as well as new ideas, innovation, models and approaches in relation to theories and practice linking Engineering technology, and planning with the Society. Contributions are therefore sought from the disciplines of Engineering, Technology and Planning, with inter-disciplinary work being mostly welcome. Holistic and integrative work is encouraged.
The journal is published annually.
This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.

Subscriptions purchased at the personal and students' rate are strictly for personal, students' and non-commercial use only. The reselling of personal and student's subscriptions is prohibited. Personal subscriptions must be purchased with a personal cheque, and proof of personal status may be requested. Students need to show their student identity card to apply for students subscriptions. Dollar rates apply to subscribers outside Nepal.
Contributions are sought from the disciplines of Engineering, Technology and Planning, with inter-disciplinary work being mostly welcome. Holistic and integrative work is encouraged. All articles are peer-reviewed anonymously by a minimum of two referees. The review process is ‘double blind’ with a total of three reviewers including the Editor in Chief. The review takes a minimum of one month. The Editor-in-Chief, on behalf of the Editorial board, makes the final decision concerning publication.
