The Review Process
The blind peer review process is a fundamental component of scholarly publishing, particularly in academic journals. This process helps ensure the quality and integrity of the research being disseminated. Here's an overview of the blind peer review process that IRJMMC adopts while processing the journal:
1. Submission of Manuscript:
The genuine Authors are requested to submit the manuscript on the certain deadlines and they submit their manuscripts to the journal for consideration. The journal has the systematic process of the manuscript submission button on its website.
2. Editorial Assessment:
The editor-in-chief of IRJMMC assesses the manuscript to determine if it meets the basic standards and scope of the journal. Only the chief editor has the sole right to receive the manuscript and analyse its standard. The manuscripts that do not meet the minimum criteria or are outside the scope and format of the journal may be rejected at this stage.
3. Initial Anonymization:
To maintain anonymity, the editorial team removes author information from the manuscript before sending it to reviewers. Authors may be asked to anonymize their manuscripts during the initial submission.
4. Selection of Reviewers:
The editor selects experts in the field (peer reviewers) to evaluate the manuscript. The reviewers are typically scholars or researchers with expertise in the subject matter and had sufficient knowledge and experience in the same field.
5. Reviewing Process:
The reviewers critically evaluate the manuscript for its originality, methodology, clarity, significance, and other relevant factors. Then they provide feedback, comments, and recommendations for further improvement of the journal.
6. Reviewer Recommendations:
The reviewers are likely to make one of the following recommendations:
- Accept as is
- Accept with minor revisions
- Major revisions required
- Reject
7. Editorial Decision:
The editor-in-chief considers the reviewers' comments and recommendations to make further decision. They may request revisions, reject the manuscript, or accept it for publication.
8. Author Revisions:
If the reviewers suggest and comment for further improvement of the journal manuscript, the authors are requested for the revisions to make necessary changes to the manuscript.
9. Final Decision:
The revised manuscript is re-evaluated by the editor, and a final decision is made.
- Publication:
Accepted manuscripts are scheduled for publication.
Authors are requested to visit the author guidelines first to prepare the article before submission. Submitted manuscript format will be reviewed and the author will be informed about further process by the research coordinator. Then the received manuscript will be submitted to the review committee that will forward it to the concerned reviewers for the blind peer review.
