About the Journal
Focus and Scope
The International Journal of Operational Research/Nepal addresses the theoretical framework, models, computational studies and conceptual development of operations research together with current developments and practices. Hence, this journal aims to create a common platform for promoting the models, methods, applicability of operational research and constructive recommendations on optimising the available resources. IJORN welcomes articles and issues of current interest in various disciplines of operational research including theory and practices where the applicability can be explicitly materialised. The journal publishes full-length research articles, surveys, expository reports and short notes in the related fields. The fields include continuous optimization, discrete optimization, scheduling theory and algorithms, project management, multi-criterion decision analysis, production and transportation, manufacturing and logistics, probabilistic and stochastic processes, game theory, queuing theory, inventory, neural-network, simulation, and others. It also incorporates the articles in the broader area of Statistics, Applied Statistics, Statistical Modelling, new methods in Statistics, Mathematics and Mathematical Modelling.
Publication Frequency
IJORN is published annually.
Open Access Statement
IJORN provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.

Peer Review Policy
An essential step in the publication of an article is the review process. It enables the author to polish the work and aids the editor in making decisions about an article. The IJORN journal has a blind peer review procedure. The respective experts who can give appropriate time and can conduct critical review in manuscript will be identified and will send it for review. "Reviewers should disclose any conflicts of interest they may have and, if any, withdraw from the peer-review process”. The review process will be done by taking the confidentiality of the Reviewer. On the basis of the review, the reviewer gives either of the following decisions:
- accept
- require minor corrections
- require moderate revision
- require major revision
- not suitable for the journal, and
- reject
