Aims and Scope
Forestry: Journal of Institute of Forestry, Nepal is a peer-reviewed Journal publishing both research and review articles on the most recent advances in forestry and allied subjects with an aim to contribute to the overal development of the forestry sector in Nepal. It accepts research articles, research reviews and research notes.
Peer Review Process
Forestry: Journal of Institute of Forestry, Nepal is a peer reviewed journal and has both an internal and external review system. The journal does single blind review for internal review while double blind for external review. At least three members of the Editorial Board (internal reviewers) review the submitted manuscripts and decide on including the submission. The internal reviewers provide comments on each manuscript and the author sends back the manuscript incorporating those comments. It takes 2-3 months for the internal review. The Editorial board for the second time decides on selection of the manuscripts. Further, each paper is reviewed by 1-2 external reviewers. It takes about 4 months for external review.
Publication Frequency
The journal publishes one issue per year.
Open Access Policy
This journal provides immediate open access to its content online on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.
