Focus and Scope

Banko Janakari (BJ): A Journal of Forestry Information for Nepal, is an online journal published in English regularly since 1987. It aims to publish peer-reviewed research articles, review articles, and short notes in forestry science, such as wildlife, botany, soil conservation, social and economic studies, NTFPs/medicinal plants, environment, biodiversity conservation, ecology, natural resources management, environment management, and biological science. The Banko Janakari is an online journal that provides full access to the research and review papers. All the peer-reviewed articles will be published after approval from the editorial board. It does not charge any fee to the authors for the publication.

The journal's main aim is to promote research and development in the forestry sector. The scope of the journal includes:

Peer Review Process

The peer review process is double-blind, and it generally takes six to eight weeks. The journal does not charge for article submission and the peer review process. Please see the flow chart of the peer-review process

Publication Frequency

The Journal is published twice a year.

Open Access Policy

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.
