समकालीन नेपाली नाटककारका रूपमा परिचित अशेष मल्ल (वि.स.२०११) एक नाटकककार मात्र नभईकुशल रङ्गकर्मी हुन् । सानैदखि साहित्यिक कार्यक्रममा रुचि राख्ने यिनको स्वभाव र पारिवारिक साहित्यिकवातावरणले उनी आज नेपाली साहित्य जगत्मा अशेष मल्ल बनेर स्थापित हुन सफल भएका हुन् ।परम्परागत नाट्यधारबाट औपचारिक नाट्ययात्रा आरम्भ गरेका यिनले आज आफूलाई प्रयोगवादी कित्ताकामूर्धन्य नाटककारका रूपमा स्थापित गरेका छन् । सर्वनाम (२०३८) नाट्यसंस्थाका संस्थापक अध्यक्ष तथानिर्देशक मल्लले यसै संस्थाको माध्यमबाट सडक नाटकको आरम्भ गरेका हुन् । हालसम्म उनका प्रकाशित,अप्रकाशित तर मञ्चित नाटकहरूको संख्या बढी नै देखिन्छ । उनका नाटकहरूको सर्वेक्षण गरी तिनमारहेको नवीन शिल्प र शैलीको अध्ययन यस लेखमा गरिएको छ । यस क्रममा आगमनात्मक शोधविधिकोप्रयोग गरिएको छ । आवश्यकताअनुसार प्राथमिक र द्वितीयक स्रोतबाट सामग्री सङ्कलन गरी तिनकोअध्ययनपश्चात् निश्चित उपकरणको निर्माण गरी मल्लका नाटकको सर्वेक्षण गरिएको छ । मल्लका नाटकप्रयोगधर्मिताको ढोकाबाट यात्रा थालेर उत्तरआधुनिकतावादसम्म पुगेका छन् भन्ने नै प्रस्तुत लेखको मूलनिचोड हो ।
{Known as a contemporary Nepali playwright, Ashesh Malla (2011) is not only a playwright but also a skilled painter. He has been interested in literary programs since childhood. Due to his temperament and family literary environment, he has succeeded in establishing himself in the world of Nepali literature as an invincible wrestler. Sarvanam (2038) Natya Sanstha's founding chairman and director Malla started street drama through this organization. So far, the number of his published, unpublished but staged plays seems to be higher. This article explores his innovative craft and style by surveying his plays. In this way inductive research method has been used. Malla's play has been surveyed by collecting materials from primary and secondary sources as per the need and after studying them, certain instruments have been made. The essence of the present article is that Malla's plays have started their journey from the door of pragmatism to post-modernism.}
